The Commission is responsible for the consolidation, co-ordination and planning of all forms of local passenger transportation within the urban area of Toronto, except for railways incorporated under federal and provincial statutes, and taxis.
The Toronto Transit Commission’s Annual Report aims to provide our riders, the general public and our employees with a comprehensive overview of the year.

The TTC is owned and operated by the City of Toronto and is overseen by nine City Councillors who make up the Commission Board.

Current and ongoing developments designed to improve public transit.
The Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (ACAT) reports directly to the Toronto Transit Commission.
The TTC has two major objectives in planning its transit services: to maximise mobility within the City of Toronto; to ensure that transit services are efficient and cost-effective.

Coupler is published 10 times a year for the employees and pensioners of the Toronto Transit Commission. Launched in 1926, the magazine has been linking the TTC with employees and their families for more than 80 years.
